What is Kojicon?
Kojicon is an annual virtual gathering of mold-based fermentation experts sharing the knowledge you need to create delicious food and drinks.
Presented by Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, the program offers participants access to daily streamed sessions and demonstrations that explore the history of koji and its applications. They will also be invited to networking opportunities and exclusive discounts.
This conference is geared for everyone from the Koji-curious to the seasoned professional.

Can I still access Kojicon 2025 content?
If you purchased a Kojicon 2025 or Recorded Content ticket, you will have access to content from 2025, as well as previous years from 2021 - 2024. Use the ‘2025 Ticketholder Access’ tab to access this content.
Recorded content access will expire on November 30, 2025.
What if I miss a presentation?
During the two-week conference, you can tune in each day to watch live-streamed presentations that explore everything from the basics of koji making to a wide variety of applications that transform food and drinks into something special.
Registrants will receive a password to our ticketholder page, where they can watch the presentations in real time and engage with the presenters via the chat feature on the video links.
Can’t make one of the sessions? No problem! The livestream links are available anytime after the live session, so you can revisit as often as you’d like.
Can I ask the presenters questions?
If watching the presentations live, attendees can communicate via the chat feature on the live-streaming platform. We also utilize a community channel on Discord where you can ask other attendees and presenters questions. Please email us if you would like to connect with a presenter via social media or another method!
Can I connect with other attendees?
All conference registrants will be invited to join a dedicated Community Channel. We have changed our platform from Slack to Discord. If you have purchased a Kojicon ticket, you will receive this link in your confirmation email!

what does my conference ticket include?
Your conference ticket includes access to all 2026 presentations, content from previous years, our Kojicon Community Discord Channel, and exclusive access to giveaways held throughout the conference.
How much are kojicon 2026 tickets?
All ticket options provide the same access to conference content and the Kojicon 2025 Community Channel on Discord (users who purchase a ticket will receive the channel link in their confirmation email).
At the end of our conference, Kojicon 2026 ticket tiers will close on March 2, 2026, and switch over to our $80 Kojicon 2026 Recorded Content Ticket option.
The Community Ticket ($40) is a reduced-price ticket for those with a financial need; it does not include a T-shirt. We can offer a limited number of tickets at this price point because of the generosity of Sponsors and those who purchase the Supporter Ticket.
The Sustainer Ticket ($80) is the regular-priced ticket and does not include a T-shirt.
The Supporter Ticket ($150) is a higher-priced ticket that helps offset the cost of Community Tickets and includes a T-shirt. Thank you for considering this option!
The Community Combo Ticket ($55), Sustainer Combo Ticket ($95), and the Supporter Ticket ($150) all include conference access AND a T-shirt.
How are presenters chosen?
Kojicon, a collaborative effort between the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center and Curator Rich Shih, strives to feature a wide range of speakers engaged in Koji and mold-based fermentation practices. Our speakers bring extensive experience, having contributed to some of the world's finest restaurants, conducted research at leading culinary institutions, or studied and explored fermentation in their own personal practice. Each of them has played a crucial role in nurturing and enhancing the larger fermentation community.
The selection of Kojicon presenters is meticulously curated by our dedicated team and aligned with the theme of each year's conference. Furthermore, our criteria for speaker selection encompass the following:
Demonstrates a deep knowledge and expertise in mold-based fermentation.
Commitment to the democratization of knowledge, with a willingness to share their work.
Speakers from diverse backgrounds enrich the perspectives presented at the conference.
